This morning we took a half day tour to the Tuel Sleng Genocide Museum and Killing Fields. The museum used to be a school but the Khmer Rouge took it over in the 70s and turned it into a prison and torture centre. There are just no words to describe this place and what happened here. After a full breakfast by the pool, we headed out to explore Phnom Penh. Our hotel is within walking distance of most of the main attractions. The architecture and artwork is very similar to Thailand. Our first stop was to the National Museum. We booked a guide. The museum was small but interesting and in beautiful, peaceful surroundings.
