Two Days Exploring Boracay
The Weather Man is a Liar
We head to breakfast earlier than yesterday. They still had my choice of Salmon Eggs Benedict but we’re all out of John’s bacon and eggs. The view over breakfast makes up for it.
I didn’t bring a hat or my sunglasses to breakfast. Contrary to the forecast, the weather is sunny and hot. The sun on the white sand is blinding. We head back to the hotel and prep for the day.
Puka Beach
We buy passes for the island hop on hop off bus. Our first stop is Puka Beach at the top end of the island. It is yet another gorgeous beach but with a rougher surf. John and I buy drinks (my daily fresh coconut) and his mango juice and spend some time on the beach. The waves lull me to sleep.
Keyhole and Secret Beach
Our next hop off stop is The Keyhole which is basically a doorway in the rock. Our final stop is at the far end of White Beach, referred to as Secret Beach. I am all set to go snorkeling but the waves are just big enough to cause concern of getting pushed against the jagged volcanic rock. So we go for afternoon drinks instead. I have my daily fresh coconut water.
Almost Sunset on the Beach
We walk down the beach to have a sunset supper… unfortunately the sun doesn’t cooperate and hides behind a cloud at the last minute.
Sunday in Boracay
Next day It is cloudy when we head to breakfast. Third day in a row that they have run out of the bacon and eggs menu option.
We notice, even in the Philippines, bars are advertising for the Superbowl.
It rains in the morning but clears up. We spend the day checking out beach bars (non-alcoholic beverages) and
restaurants. I find the tiniest crab crawling on our beach mat. So Cute.
We explore the market and watch the sunset over dinner.
Walking back to our place after dark, we admire the sand castles that have been lit up with candles. We finish the day with a massage.
